Manimegalai’s journey in Bharatanatyam began at the age of three. Trained in the esteemed Kalakshetra bani, she has had the privilege of learning under renowned Gurus, including Sri Yamini Krishnamurthy, Justice Macthey, Sudha Jaganathan, and most recently, Acharya Jayalakshmi Eswar.
Her dedication to the art led her to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Bharatanatyam, deepening her understanding of its rich tradition and nuances.
For Manimegalai, Bharatanatyam is more than a dance form—it is a way of life, a sacred expression that connects her to the divine and to her innermost self. Her versatility extends beyond Bharatanatyam, having also trained in Odissi and Chhau, adding depth to her repertoire and a unique dimension to her performances.
